STEEL ACCENTS for the HOME

This small section shows some of the interior projects Mike was called upon to incorporate his metalwork to address a client's need.

Some of these clients needed to have him custom build shelving brackets to mount wood planks or glass panels, or a set of identical braces to lay out a pattern on their wall.

The glass bracket system shown was built to display a collection of antique baby shoes, it has the panels mounted on a slight angle to have the objects clearly visible.

There are also a few examples of steel mirror frames, that were built for homes and businesses around Santa Fe, and some photos of plant hangers that were hand forged by Mike.

In additional to household objects, Mike had a 10 year relationship with a solar powered well water pump company in Santa Fe, designing and fabricating belt guards, motor mounts, and assorted brackets. He spent those years perfecting techniques to deliver precision parts, and learned how to incorporate models, templates and finite measurements to accomplish proper machining.

The custom blind covers in this section exhibit some of that attention to detail and ability to construct machined looking equipment to fill in the gaps that commercial suppliers may not offer.

Mike has also fabricated a number of custom pieces of hardware, handrails, fireplace screens and other site custom metalwork that are not pictured.
