This section contains a selection of hand-made functional carts that were built to serve a specific purpose, and also showcases some custom steel stands that clients have needed to be fabricated to complement a component or piece of furniture that needed another element to complete it and/or make it more useful.  
 
    Mike shows some examples of kitchen island frames, and carts with heavy duty construction that require mobility, such as the 'Dollhouse' cart, the aquarium stand, and islands for marble and butcher block tops. In Al those cases, as well as smaller projects like his custom tea service/bar carts, Mike carefully installs appropriately matched casters to accommodate a smooth ride when necessary. 

     In addition to the carts, this section contains some photos of the custom fabricated stands the artist has created to exhibit or lift household treasures and articles of interest.  He has had clients commission him to build a variety of of practical and unique bases for anything from antique wooden trunks, a prized Louis Vuitton chest, and stands for their tonsu cabinets. 

     Mike's stands and displays have been used as pedestals to exhibit art and pottery pieces in some local Santa Fe and Madrid, NM shops and galleries.
